Join bestselling DAW author
Kristen Britain at a festive masquerade party for the launch of her latest book,
Blackveil. Taking a page from
Blackveil, the historic Jesup Memorial Library will be decked out like a medieval great hall for a masquerade ball complete with feasting and music, and a reading by the author followed by a question-and-answer session and a booksigning. There will be door prizes and fun for all. Want to know how the party relates to the book? You’ll have to read it to find out! Costumes and masks are welcome, but not required. Don’t have a mask? There will be a mask-making workshop at the library the same day at 4 p.m. No charge.
Sherman’s Book Store will provide books for purchase at the event, and a portion of book sales at the event will be donated to the library. Admission is free, but offerings for the local food pantry or pet food pantry will be accepted.
Blackveil will be published in hardcover on Feb. 1, 2011, by DAW Books.
