This month - Daryl Gregory, Leah Cutter, and Jennifer Brozek.

Daryl Gregory will read from his new novel, Spoonbenders, about a family of down-on-their-luck psychics living in Chicago. CIA agents, mobsters, and a long-time nemesis descend on the Amazing Telemachus Family in the summer of 1995. In their review, the New York Times said, “Gregory writes with humor and charm, offering up a rollicking and quick-paced plot tailor-made for summer….” And he would add: Only slightly ill-fitting for autumn!

Jennifer will be reading from The Salton Academy, the last safe haven in a zombie apocalypse. There are cracks in the foundation and everyone within the walls has begun to realize that the rules of society no longer apply. Evan has discovered there is a conspiracy to murder the only thing he's ever loved: his dog. It's not his fault he got bit by a zombie.

SFWA Pacific Northwest Reading Series

The Pacific Northwest is home to a Tardis-Full of Science Fiction and Fantasy writers, a fact celebrated every quarter with the Pacific Northwest Reading Series. These free quarterly events provide the Northwest Science Fiction and Fantasy community a chance to gather, network and enjoy readings from local and visiting authors in Portland and Seattle.

Each event features three authors who read from their latest work, interpreting and explaining their concepts and vision. In addition, space is provided for networking and conversation. The Q3 2017 Portland event will be held on Thursday, September 14th, 2017.
